Six weeks of summer: Six top activity ideas for kids

Rachel Jones | June 4, 2015

The summer vacation is here! The extra time at home might feel like a welcome relief, or a chaotic nightmare—or both! But for every family, the summer’s a great opportunity to learn together from the Bible. That’s why each week over the summer we’ll be posting an idea to help you get young children to engage with the Bible.

First up is a recipe for creation cookies—which remind us of the creation story from Genesis 1. Tell the Bible story; do the cooking activity; and talk about what you’ve learned.

If you like this, why not decide to bake through the whole Bible as a summer project with your kids? You’ll see how the Bible is really one, true, wonderful story—and make lots of delicious recipes!
