This is such a sweet little board book. The illustrations are simple and so are the sentences. My son is 5, so he may be a bit older for the board book version, but he still seemed engaged and could easily recite the concepts. I definitely recommend for toddler ages 2-4.
The Any Time, Any Place, Any Prayer board book is a simplified version of the children’s book by Laura Wifler. This book helps young readers learn that they can talk with God at any time in any setting. It is a simple primer on prayer that is helpful for teaching little ones the basics of prayer. The book contains many of the lovely illustrations featured in the picture book which invite children into its pages.
I’m really grateful for the board books produced by The Good Book Company, including this one. These books are wonderful tools for introducing children to important truths early on. This board book is a great gift option for a baby shower, birthday, or Christmas.
I received the Any Time, Any Place, Any Prayer board book compliments of The Good Book Company in exchange for my honest review.
We pray every night with our children, and I want to show them that they can do the same. Written for ages 2-4, this board by by Laura Wifler will help your children see the privilege of prayer.
God Listens and Loves
The illustrations by Catalina Echeverri are delightful, and they help show the joy that comes from talking to God. What I loved most is the emphasis on prayer is for friends of Jesus. This book will let your children know that God listens to and loves us.
I received a media copy of Any Time, Any Place, Any Prayer Board Book and this is my honest review.
I had the opportunity to read the full version of this book and it was delightful. I also have a personal connection to Laura as she as my small group leader during my college years. Their ministry, Risen Motherhood, has been a wonderful service to women and mothers across the globe.
This board book version of the original is simple yet powerful for younger children. The story still addresses the same concepts: everyone has the ability to pray any time, in any place, and about anything that's on their minds.
The illustrations are the same as the original and as before, they weren't my favorite, but I know younger children would be captivated by them.
This is a perfect choice for teaching younger kids the importance and ease of prayer and it's role in our lives.

This colorful board book introduces the concept of prayer to little children. It explains what prayer is and emphasizes that we can talk to God anywhere, at any time, about anything. The illustrations are close-ups from some of Catalina Echeveri's illustrations in the longer book, and the pictures highlighted here show diverse children praying in different settings by themselves, with family, and with friends. Their speech bubbles give examples of what a prayer can be like, and the short sentences and simple vocabulary throughout this book make it appropriate for babies and toddlers.
This adaptation has the same ultimate message as the original picture book version, but it is very different. The original, much-longer book covers a variety of different topics and themes that don't appear here, and that book fully presents the gospel story, while this one simply focuses on the concept of talking to God. If parents have children who are already growing out of basic concept books, I would encourage them to get the original title, but the two books are distinct enough to justify owning both for siblings of different ages, or for a child as they grow.
This board book is an excellent option for Christian families, churches, and Christian schools. It is sturdy and suitable for little hands, and even though it is small, it can work for a group read-aloud because the illustrations on each page are bright and vivid against a white background. This book will appeal right now and for years to come, and I am pleased with its simplicity, quality, and thoughtful design.
Note: I received a free copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
Any Time Any Place Any Prayer: We Can Talk with God by Laura Wifler is a simple but effective teaching book for toddlers. It is 16 pages long with simple easy wording for young children. It roughly measures about 6 inches by 7 1/2 inches--which is a smaller size for young children to hold on their own and turn the thick cardboard pages.
This book has pictures--with various people in them--of all skin colors as well as differing abilities. I especially like how inclusive this book is. Truly we can all pray. No matter how old we are. I like how this book simplifies prayer and makes it clear that it is important to talk to God. To tell him thank you. To tell him you need help. And to say, sorry to God for mistakes made. . .Among other prayers.
All in all, Any Time Any Place, Any Prayer: We can Talk with God is a brightly illustrated board book that would be great to use in most Christian families with little ones.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions within this review are my own.
This series of illustrated books (drawn by Catalina Echeverri) is a great series of Christian children's books and it's lovely to have a toddler-friendly version at home. They're really robust books and make a great gift for a child (or their parent!). The narrative is very simple but shares how wonderful prayer is as a gift for us, allowing us to talk to God about anything and everything. If you're looking to show your toddler about why it is such good news that we can pray, this is the book for you!
This book simplifies the original book into clear, understandable language for the little ones, and does not disappoint. It clearly defines prayer and simplifies the original book without losing its purpose. I love the speech bubbles with real-life models of prayer. Thankful to partner with the goodbook company and review an early copy.
