We really like the new Bible for children produced by the Good Book Company and this is a really lovely accompaniment for younger children. With some puzzles, activities, and plenty of “reusable” stickers, this is a fair few hours of fun that can either be used on its own or alongside reading the children’s Bible together.
Got this as this year’s advent book for my four year old who is in reception and it’s perfectly pitched for him. He enjoyed the bits of the story that we read to him and he loves doing the stickers. The reading/writing elements for him to do are just right for where he’s up to at school.
I would absolutely recommend this as a stocking filler or advent gift for small ones. We already own the gods big promises storybook bible so this is a great addition for the season of advent to help orient our little ones hearts, with a fun, interactive little book.
This is a great resource for homeschooling preschool-age kids (3-7 yo). It includes 8 sessions, each with a different activity. I will use this resource book during our tea time, and we will read the recommended Bible passage.
The First Christmas & Sticker Activity Book includes over 60 reusable stickers, as well as fun puzzles, games, and activities throughout the pages.
This is a cute gift for young children at Christmas, and walks them through the basic foundations of what we celebrate.
Recommended for children ages 3-7.
The stickers in this book are bright, fun, and colourful!
There is a wide range of different activities such as mazes, connect the dots, and word tracing.
I think this would make a great gift for children at Christmas time.
Anytime I can offer my children gospel-centered alternatives to activities, I am a happy girl. I am so thankful for the team of people who make books like this that include popular activities like word searches, mazes, and coding, but are centered on the Bible and include Scripture throughout it. The illustrations are bold and beautiful, the stickers are easy for little hands to get them off the page, and the only complaint was that my kids wish the book was longer because they liked it so much!
This sixteen-page sticker and activity book supplements the God's Big Promises Bible Storybook. It also works as a standalone, since Carl Laferton shares the story of the Nativity throughout the book, interspersing short, kid-friendly paragraphs around Jennifer Davison's bright, bold illustrations. The narrative is complete and self-contained.
Laferton splits up the story into distinct sections, such as "An Angel Visits Mary" and "Jesus is Born." Each section is two pages long, featuring that part of the story, illustrations and sticker spots, and other activities such as mazes, words to trace, and a simple dot-to-dot. This book is for kids ages three to seven, and there's a good range of different activities. The stickers are all in the center of this staple-bound book, and they are bright, colorful, and fun. It is also clear where each of them goes, since kids are supposed to place the correct stickers over the soft, light-colored images on each page. The stickers are technically reusable, but they start curling after you peel them up, so they won't last very long. Also, some kids will need help peeling up the asymmetrical stickers to avoid tearing them.
This book will appeal to families and Sunday school teachers looking for a fun activity book that engages kids with the Christmas story. This has high-quality, engaging text and illustrations, and the stickers and activities are fun, but this is most likely a one-and-done activity, since the stickers don't have much longevity. Also, even though the glossy paper makes it easier for people to reuse the stickers, the glossy pages will work best with pencil, since crayons won't always show up and ink is likely to smear. This is a great educational Christian resource, but people should consider the price with a single-use expectation.

This is a great addition to The First Christmas Lift-The-Flap book.
The book is structured with eight sections:
- God Promises a Special Baby
- An Angel Visits Mary
- The Angel Speaks to Joseph
- Jesus is Born
- The Shepherds Find Baby Jesus
- Simeon and Anna Meet Jesus
- The Wise Men Follow a Star
- Happy Christmas
Each of these sections are intended to be completed as a series leading up to Christmas Day. This could be done as one section per day or one section per week.
There are a variety of activities included: word tracing, puzzles, crosswords, deciphering codes, mazes, and plenty of stickers.
The eight sections walk the child through the entire story of Jesus' birth and the importance of Him coming to earth for our sake.
To utilize this activity book alongside its companion Lift The Flap book adds a wonderful excitement to the Christmas story.

We bought these to distribute at our Christmas Eve service. Activities include letter tracing, phonemic awareness (beginning sound), a word search, a maze, and a dot to dot. A child either needs to read independently or have an adult available to help in order to read the story line, follow the directions for the activities and know where to place the stickers. The pages are thick with a gloss finish (high sheen and very smooth), which is great for high quality printed images and words, but not for an activity book. Crayons don't work well and markers/ink smear if you run your hand across it before it's dry. Pencils seem to perform the best. Overall, I think this will work really well as a gift for our Kindergarten-2nd graders, but I do wish the pages weren't glossy.
